Press Day: 14th April 2011

Imagine a gorgeous Egyptian suite filled with a delightful selection of cosmetics, quintessential linen, luxurious autumnal garments and an assortment of enchanting homeware...Imagine Aqua PR's press day.

Upon entering the dazzling bazaar, the sweet smell of warm vanilla and fresh rosebuds filled the room. Delicate scent of The Royal Wedding - 'White Pomegranate', was among many beautiful fragrances being showcased by natural wax candle and diffuser maker, Max Benjamin, revealing a gentle heart of lily and gardenia.

Gorgeous soft lighting captured a magical selection of homeware from Lisbeth Dahl.  Rose tealights and orient-esque lanterns lined the window bay, adorable cupcake stands were of course filled with cutesy iced treats by the wonderful Zoe Clark (although these didn't last long...) and gorgeously glitzy, mirrored jewellery boxes and trinkets were placed thoughtfully upon dressers. The new children's collection revealed a delightful selection of toys - such as an adorable pastel xylophone and a soft knitted lilac owl.

For the real girly girls, a magnificent marble chest played host to a pink platter of cosmetic treats from new premium make-up brand, up there with the likes of Bobbi Brown and Mac - 'Smooch'. The packaging follows a flirtatious, lacy theme and must buys of the day included a soft-touch brush-on lipgloss - just twist, to dispense beautifully shiny vibrant colour, and an array of mirrored bronzer compacts - styled almost identically to that of Chanel's Soleil Tan - perfect for creating fabulously contoured cheekbones or an illuminative shimmer.

Beneath feet, silky soft cowhide rugs from London Cows led the way to another fantastic display, from Ajala Spa. Set in the midst of the city, within St Paul's Grange Hotel, Ajala provides Londoners with a blissful escape from 'the rush' and offers an enormous range of both rejuvenating and relaxing treatments. On Aqua's Press Day, invitees were lucky enough to be able to take away a snippet of Ajala's exclusive product range in the form of an uplifting Ajala body oil - infused with a pure base of skin softening soya bean and sweet almond oil, yummy!

A desirable woman's wardrobe, born out of Noa Noa's Autmun 2011 range, was awash with rich, leafy shades of maroons and oranges. Nordic-patterned, wrap around cardies and fur-trim brown leather boots were amongst the many appealing items. The kidswear collection featured colour stories circling around sage and envelope brown - popular pieces included metallic pumps in mint, knitted tunics and full and flouncy tutus.

Fit for royalty, two majestic king size beds were dressed with the deluxe bed linen of Sheridan. With a 1200 thread count, the sumptuous sheets are crafted from a superior yarn like no other. A number of fresh floral designs made debut in this Autumn's range, with fresh lime greens set in contrast against gentle nudes and powder blues. A heavenly dream station indeed!

For those looking to give their halos a true celestial polish, the bathroom of Aqua's Egyptian suite proved to be a real hit. Sranrom - a brand synonymous with the essence of Thai healing, displayed a superb selection of natural cosmetics. Free of parabens, petroleum derivatives, silicone or any animal ingredients, the brand is 100% eco pally. Their 'Get Lively' range - part of the 'Urban Wellness' collection, uses warming ginger, refreshing sweet lime oil and orange to heighten mental energy and keep spirits high. Available for invitees to experiment with bath-side, who could resist but to start flicking those caps and start giving skin an upliftingly zingy wake-up!

Inspired by the fabulous ITV chat show, Loose Women were also making a spectacle in Aqua's super chic 'salle de bains'. Showing off an exciting new collection of 'me time' toiletries - with a different cheeky tip on the back of each product, it was giggles galore! The mega moisture hand cream read 'apply generously and rub until a large diamond appears' - brilliant, just what every girl wants to hear!

The most vibrant stand of the day, was with no question of a doubt, that of fantastically affordable colour cosmetics brand, W7! Now available in New Look stores across the country, there was no denying just how dazzling the products looked! Amazing spray-on bronzer, 'Tights in a Tin', recently featured in This Morning's 'fab in a flash' had everybody talking - not to mention the brand new Crackle nail polish in 'Earthquake Black'. A wide range of lippies, shadows and eye popping colour ranges could be tested on the day and taken home for all to enjoy. Office freebies...check!

Aqua saw a magnificent turnout and we simply cannot say thank you enough to all that came on the day and assisted in the oh-so-enjoyable cake nibbling and product testing.
